People often unknowingly plant invasives in their backyards. And with a tendency to thrive and spread their seeds easily through the wind, these plants never stay in one's backyard. While volunteer organizations can clean up invasive plants on preserves and public property, their effectiveness is limited when property owners' yards continue to foster the spread of invasives.
